As I’ve mentioned previously, I love to change up my scents depending on the time of year. I’ve also passed on this habit to my fiance and now we both love to treat ourselves to a new fragrance every few months. I love to read guides like these and see what other people like to use as it often introduces me to new and wonderful products that I may not have tried otherwise. I’ve put together a list of the most beautiful (in my humble opinion) scents for both male and female to see you through the summer months – or what’s left of them at least!
To start, a brand for those of you who truly love a luxurious fragrance. For men perfume isn’t something they often think to buy themselves, at least not in my experience anyway – but Clive Christian create a range of indulgent scents to tempt even the most shy shopper. With prices starting at £65 up to £495 they are most definitely a treat however all products are created using high quality, rare ingredients making them the ultimate in luxury. If you’re near a Harrods or Selfridges it’s worth calling in just to try one of these extraordinary fragrances, or you can visit their website to read more about their range of perfume for men and women.
Next is a personal favourite of mine, a classic – Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel. I’ve loved this perfume for years, with notes of orange, jasmine and rose it’s the perfect fresh fragrance for the warmer weather. This was the first high-end perfume I ever bought myself and I’ve been in love with it ever since.
Onto the perfume that everyone is talking about lately, Ghost Sweetheart Forever. I remember a friend of mine buying me a bottle of Ghost perfume for my birthday years ago and ever since then I’ve always had a soft spot for all of their products. Sweetheart Forever is simply beautiful, it’s a mix of floral and fruity and it’s just perfect for this time of year.
And last but not least, Pure XS by Paco Rabanne. I love Black XS by Paco Rabanne so I was really excited to see they’d released a new version. This smells absolutely amazing, it’s quite subtle but I think it’s a gorgeous male fragrance for during the day. It’s quite hard to describe so you’re definitely best off popping into a store to try it for yourself!
What are your go-to summer fragrances? Have you tried any of the ones mentioned above? Let me know!
